I would be interested in finding out why this study is being carried out.

Me too… doesn’t seem cool or useful enough
February 29th, 2008 at 8:20 am
To make people realize that there are lots of cool things to do in the internet? Indirectly, you know. That was why I had also enabled and suggested readers to fill their unique own way to fight boredom in the poll if they had one.
Some of you might think watching videos doesn’t sound so useful but there are some mind-fulfilling videos served besides those time killers videos. We only have to use our mind to think and choose what’s best for us.
This poll is meant for general public as from my search engine’s statistic it seemed that my blog has attracted different people with its previous variety types of content.
People are fixed with internet = geek mentality. Let diversify as internet has a lot to offer.
Much thanks for giving the feedbacks.

Lol, how true is that!
February 29th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
The point being? Or is the point that we must be bored if we are taking this poll?
February 29th, 2008 at 7:18 pm
People can think of the past, didn’t they? They should be able to reminisce what they did when they were bored and to fill this poll might help some clueless people who think the internet is damn boring, indirectly; plus promoting the positive usages of the internet.
We don’t need to be bored to take this poll.
Cheers.

Hmm, wouldn’t it seem logical to just turn off the internet and go do something else if you’re bored with it? It does seem like an odd question.

Will you be able to tell us why this is being carried out and by who?
Fuad: It was carried out by me for the reasons which I’ve stated in my previous comments. If this is a paid post, I will categorize it as ‘paid reviews’ or anything similar to that.

When I’m bored with the internet I usually go and do something else, away from it. If I can’t be bothered doing that I might just do a bit of random blog surfing.
March 3rd, 2008 at 12:39 am
This is a good poll. Well It’s very rare that I get free time to surf and get bored after all the work. But the Ideal thing what I want to do when I am getting bored not online though is to SLEEP SLEEP and SLEEP.
March 3rd, 2008 at 3:21 am
Okay Fuad, satisfied. Only one rider. If one is bored with it, why would he go on the Internet? As you point out, he has a lot of alternatives. Let me put it this to you, I may go to the Internet if I am bored with say, TV instead of taking a book which is what I would have done in the “good old days”.

Lol, I can’t believe how you guys don’t understand the poll and have some silly questions.
If you’re bored, internet is way to have some fun. If you’re bored on internet, that doesn’t mean you need to go offline, it means you need to find better things. And that’s the point of this poll, THERE ARE interesting things, we just need to know where and use them.

Surfing around blogs is great amusement for me.. and to learn new stuff too. i seldom feel bored though while i’m online(lucky me..) and if i do, i take it as a sign that it’s time for me to do something different for a while. the computer’s still there later…
March 5th, 2008 at 4:07 am
I play online tower defence games to pass the time.
March 5th, 2008 at 5:39 pm
How on earth can you get bored online? :p
March 6th, 2008 at 2:56 am
I love reading up about my favorite movies. Find more movies in the genre I like (thrillers, suspense) and then download them and watch.
March 6th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
I spend all day working on the internet, and then still find things to look for in my spare time, like ebay auctions, pinballs, retro gaming, movies ect ect. I don’t think I’ll ever be fully bored online. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t love spending time outside or with family and friends.
March 8th, 2008 at 10:10 am
YouTube sure is a possibility, or some flash clips.
March 13th, 2008 at 2:34 pm
I can’t believe how few people would get up and away from the computer. We’re all hooked!
March 16th, 2008 at 6:48 am

March 18th, 2008 at 12:23 pm
I tend to just refresh the page I’m looking at over and over again lol. Sometimes I get so bored on the internet it seriously frustrates me that I can’t find anything else to do. Youtube usually does it though.
March 20th, 2008 at 6:47 am
You’re not alone Free-hdtvs, I do it on my email and fave forums.
March 27th, 2008 at 1:23 am

YouTube seems to be a unanimous hit. Will try doing that the next time I’m bored.

Another thing i wanted to say: i am almost never bored when i am online, in fact i fall short of time, i want to see that, read this, find out yet more… so on and so forth. For me, the internet is not boring, it is endlessly fascinating.
