computer tips and tutorials. The power on your side..

Situation

You have found a nice site recently but did not have time to go through all the pages. The poor thing is, you have forgotten the URL of the site and it seems that you will never found the website again. That’s a big miss doesn’t it? :( How to prevent it from happening again?)

Solution

A simple method would be “don’t erase your browser’s history”. Well, that is easy but I think it will be troublesome to look for the site’s link in the huge History archive after a long time. A good solution is to use the HTTrack program, which let you download and save a HTML website to your PC so that you can open it without connecting to the internet.

With this software, you can browse the page just like when you’re online. The usage is not hard, you just have to fill the name of your project, category, and the name of the website that you want to save. If you’re webmaster, you will find a lot of benefits using this tool tool, as example to gather the idea for your site’s content. For kid, don’t misuse it though.

The great news is, since it’s an open-source program you won’t need to pay any bucks for the software. Go to the download page below to download the software.
