Question:
I’ve forgotten the password that I’ve set for my BIOS. How do I reset the AWARD BIOS password without configuring the BIOS jumper on the motherboard?
Answer:
You can do it with Windows operating system. Go to Start Menu, click on Run.
Type “cmd” (without quotes) into the field and press enter.
At DOS prompt, type the commands below respectively. Please not that you need to hit enter after each command.
DEBUG
-o 70 2e
-o 71 ff
-q
exit
Restart the computer.
*This method is supposedly to work with most versions of the AWARD BIOS.

I did this several times, it is necessary to close certain contacts at the motherboard and hold a few seconds. These contacts should be signed “Reset”.

Excelent tip, just issued the commands as told and on next reboot my Award BIOS was password-free.
Thanks a lot,
