Recently, I wrote an article about phishing site, which could be dangerous to the internet surfers. Beside Google Toolbar, the phishing filter is also available in the new Windows Live Toolbar for users of Internet Explorer 6.
What I’m going to write today is not about the phishing cases, but the new Internet Explorer 7, which is still under Release Candidate 1. This version of Internet Explorer have a built-in support for Phishing Filter though. So you did not have to install any add-ons in case you want to use it. Among new cool features for Internet Explorer are:
>More security with Dynamic Security Protection
Internet Explorer 7 takes security to a new level with new functionality that thwarts malicious software, as well as protect users against data theft from fraudulent Web sites. Additionally, Internet Explorer 7 gives users full control over adding functionality to their browsing experiences, allowing for safe and easy add-on functionality while avoiding inadvertent downloads of unwanted software.
>Tabbed browsing
Tabbed BrowsingInternet Explorer 7 uses tabs as a way to organize and manage groups of Web pages. Users can set up, open, and preserve a tab, an individual page, or a combination of both. It has also combined your Favorites, History, and Web Feeds into one simple menu; users can dock this menu and use the new open in tabs control to open a folder of Favorites in Tabs.
>Improved Platform for Web Development:
Internet Explorer can now support the transparent PNG files. The new Really Simple Syndication (RSS) platform support allows other applications to integrate with the browsing experience.
>Inline searching (including Google, Yahoo Search, AOL search, and Ask Jeeves)
You can learn more about them at Paul Thurrot’s website:

Tips: For administrator, take note that Internet Explorer 7 will be installed automatically to replace your Internet Explorer 6 via the Windows Automatic Update. If you did not want to use it yet, you can always block the automatic installation by using the Internet Explorer 7 blocker tool which can be downloaded from the Microsoft’s website.
My two cents: Microsoft now have realised their mistake for not intergrating those useful features in Internet Explorer 6. The war between the two major browsers (IE 7 and Firefox 2) will begin soon. WIth new cool features from both developers, I wonder which one will win.
