There are lots of free alternative to commercial software these days. Microsoft Security Essentials by Microsoft is a good software to try if you want to prevent your computer from being invaded by security threats such as virus and still have not installed any antivirus program yet.
This free antivirus protection only needs you to have licensed Windows OS running on your computer for you to be able to install it. It supports Windows XP and later releases including Windows Vista and Windows 7. Regarding reliability, there’s not much to say as I’ve been only using it for a few weeks on Windows 7 platform without any other Antivirus program running but so far I’ve maintained my computer virus-free.
Microsoft Security Essentials can get automatic updates, performs real time detection, and other basic antivirus function. It has a comprehensive malware database and a simple graphical user interface. It runs very quitely in the background and does not compromise with computer performance since it’s light in resources.

Microsoft did get certifications by WestCoastLabs and other security company. Hence, I guess it’s no harm in giving this program a try, especially if you want to forget having to spend any money for antivirus subscription like me.
Just enough is more. Get Microsoft Security Essentials

I used to use that program but then got a virus and my laptop crashed. Has it gotten better? I liked the way it worked but it didn’t stop my laptop from crashing.

Microsoft is giving anything for free. Unbelievable
. I don’t want this software to be like Windows firewall which was usless and we still needed to have a separate firewall on the system.

It’s a cinch to drag them into the System Tray or out of it again, so you enjoy complete control over which applets reside there.

Looks good. I got a virus the other day and had to wipe my computer clean to get rid of it! So annoying.
@WebDesignSEo Once you’ve bought parallels you need to buy the Microsoft software also.

anyone that would pay for it is a moron. everyone knows some ass bag who has paid for it and then realizes that it is no faster and works no better than the free version. plus, if you really want the pro version, you can get working editions for free from pirate bay. and you can use the free version of limewire to download it. don’t you love the irony?
