A sticky post function would be essential if you got an announcement or important messages that are needed to be told to every visitor of your blog. A forum would have that function but unluckily, blog does not have that featured installed. The system prefer to display posts in a reverse chronological order which mean the older stories are pushed down the order as new stories are added with time.
There’s a hack needed to make a sticky post and these is how it is done with three top blogging systems which are Wordpress, Blogger, and Typepad.
Wordpress:
There’s a wordpress plugin called Adhesive that lets you turn any blog post into a sticky one. If more than one post is sticky, the post with the latest post time will appear topmost. You can change also the time stamp for the post which will give the same result.
Blogger:
Firstly, save the post as a draft. If you like to make an existing story as sticky, open in it in edit view. The Date and Time settings for a post are beneath the post-editing field. Change the values to a future date. Then, publish your post.
Typepad:
On the Edit Post page, click the clock icon and edit the time and/or date of the post you can use the arrows on the calendar to navigate previous and next through the months.
Note: Only change the time stamp to the same date only. Otherwise, anyone that linked to your post previously would get lost.
