In this part one, I will list five applications that I always use for my websites development. Some softwares are free while the others are commercial software. I really recommend them to you to speed up your job and the most important, to get the best output from your work.

Macromedia Dreamweaver This software let us detect invalid XHTML tags, providing us fast excess to XHTML Markup Validation process without having to go to the W3C Markup Validation service website. It also correct nested XHTML tags automatically. I personally recommended this software to newbie since it includes an easy to use WYSIWYG editor. Learn the basic by using frames and tables to create a static HTML page. If you’re coder, it will be easier to code css and html since it can detect small mistake such as wrongly-spelled syntaxes.

FileZilla -You won’t need another FTP manager after you use this. FileZilla is a fast and reliable FTP client and server with lots of useful features and an intuitive interface. The most important thing is it is free. I’ve try other commercial softwares before but they lacks of simplicity.

ColorPix -Point your cursor to any image and it will detects its color code automatically. This utility is extremely useful when you’re designing a website or getting color inspiration something that you see while browsing the web.

Webshot -Just like it name says, Webshot capture a screenshot of a website, from up to the bottom of the page. Additinally, you can also create the thumbnail of the captured image easily.

Adobe Photoshop - An easy to learn Photo Editor, this software will cause you some bucks but worth the investment. A good resource to learn Adobe photoshop is Good-Tutorials.com. If you’re sort of money like me, you can try using the trial version of this software to explore the functionalities (30 days).

You can also optimize your graphic files automatically using Photoshop.
