Now, let us hear the long conversation between nasty customer and bloody tmnet streamyx’s operators, not only one, but two streamyx operators. I got this audio file from somewhere in the internet, and found it’s very interesting to be shared with you all. The customer, whoa…is extremely pissed.

2) Think twice before making a false statement (streamyx technical men)

Mr Chua is definitely too rude… he was patient and sounded like mature at first. Anyway, what’s the pointing shouting and and scolding those workers…. They’re only MAKAN GAJI, they don’t CAUSE his problem nor can they FIX it, they’re just customer service to answer calls… Now’s he’s dem stupid for doing that. A lot of people don’t understand, they’re just MAKAN GAJI, they’re paid to serve not get scold. Even how bad you scold them and how patient they handle you, they still get the SAME salary. The bosses are the ones getting all the goodness.
Plus, what does he mean by “it’s my right”, again, the person who answer the calls doesn’t know anything or isn’t realluy responsiblefor his problem anyway, where’s the right for him to scold them then?
Well, I do see his problem, he spend 300 for a new modem for nothing. He mentioned the technician just say his modem is spoilt or something after a simple checking or not really check as according to what he saiid. So, he should then scold the technician if he is piss. he can complain to the supervisor or person in charge.
One more thing I notice is he’s really desperate, maybe ONLINE GAMES? Haha… Anyway, scolding all those bad word and recorded could get him in trouble? Plus, if this matter become serious untill brought to court or something like that, he might get into trouble wiht this audio file as well, and lastly, he forgot that most of us are using “perisian LANUN” and I’m sure he got many MP3s, etc…

Just heard that conversation, it’s very horrible.. Mr.Chua is a very bad tempered person.. I’m a chinese and i felt very bad for what he said to kumaran (kumaran u rocks u handle him in a very patient way, if for me, i already shoot out many chinese vulgar words back to him that you couldn’t have imagine LOL)..
Mr.Chua shud have wait patiently for what happen to his pc (spyware / anything)..

it seems like Mr Chua original was still ok during making the call….
i think his emotion changed to angry when waiting for so long only the operator pick up the phone… he become more angry + lost control when the operator tell him is the modem fault without any prove support or reason….
Some more calling that 1300 no is charge local rated and i believe most of the call need to wait for more then 5 min only the operator pick up ( this is what i experience last time, can say 6 call , 6 call also wait for more then 5 min)
Beside that wait for long time nevermind, the operator din do investigate properly then just say modem got problem or microfilter or surge protect or some related stuff on our site got problem this will make the caller angry possible become big , except they got prove then might let user claim down or accept.

However i also support Kumaran coz he still handle Mr Chua in a very patient way….
However to avoid this kind of situation happend again , i think streamyx should get more professional staff to get on the phone, more people work more less problem on call pickup delay.
2nd is the 1300 phone call should be a TOLL FREE call …. since nowdays we are force to wait and hear advertisment while waiting the operator to pick up…
3rd to improve themself, they should have a suggestion or comment section on their web site. And i think this clip appears around the net widely maybe because the person no place to complain and the end he use this net way to make complain…. is quite a shame if other country people saw this kind of clips.

hmmm….
cnt blame mr chua for getting all riled up over 300 bucks of hard earned money for nothing and having to call repeatedly just to rectify his issue.i know most of you feel that he’s getting overboard with his temper and i agree that doesnt give him the right to use bad words,but try to look at it from a different perspective and put yourself in his shoes for once….
my observation/opinion of the recording :
1st officer could be more alert of mr chua’s issue by checking the previous reports and trying to clarify with the customer on his recurrent issue especially if it’s a repeated case.It makes the customer feel that they’re been taken care of and shows that we’re actually paying attention (eventho that’s not the case…;))
the supervisor could have clarified with the customer on the previous on-site apptmt from the customer’s observation.why?simply because he’s not there.is the technician ACTUALLY doing his job properly??from mr chua’s complaints,seems like the technician is not doing anything much aside from turning on his modem and directly saying that the customer’s modem is having some issues,even asks the customer to replace his hardware.after dishing out some cash,it’s still the same issue dunnit?who’s not doing their job right now??u tell me….
the supervisor should also try to calm the customer down by being more compassionate.dont just simply say “there’s no use to shout..”.instead use something like “i understand your frustration mr.xxx,but i need your cooperation to enable me to help you solve this issue…” and try todo a recap with the customer of what’s going on.it will reflect to the customer that you’re ACTUALLY trying to help him.
when the customer questions about whose fault & who’s gonna pay him back for the 300 bucks he spent on new hardware(i’m not sure of how’s the process in TMnet),the supervisor could’ve told the customer that since he has all the necessary information and clarified information,will help the customer to look into issue and if possible,make some arrangements so that the customer feels better e.g a waiver maybe?;)
**in the real world,there are BAD customers and there are GOOD ones too.it’s just a matter of how you handle them.

1) The first agent who handled the call, psychologically pissed off the customer at first
- Used a lot of “ok, ok, ok”
- Used a lot of “what is your problem”
- Did not check the problem history properly, because customer had logged a lot of case on same issue
- Kept the customer waited for so long (not her fault actually)
2) Kumaran, on the other hand, didn’t really use word that could calm down the customer
- “There is no use to shout at me Mr Chua”
-”no need to shout at me Mr Chua”
-”Don’t shout, Mr Chua, Don’t shout”
Instead he could have use the non-defensive word like “i understand the inconvenience you have faced”, apologise if necessary
- The user questioned (many times) for how can he get back the RM300 that he spent for nothing.
I understand Kumaran cannot promise the rebate issue, BUT it’s the TM side (customer treat helpdesk + deskside + TM sales as one body) fault for telling user that it’s actually his modem got problem.
So maybe in the first plce Kumaran should have had the rebate guideline in his hand.
By the way, both Aliya (the first agent) and Kumaran did the wrong thing by saying “you only logged the report yesterday, therefore it will take two days”
they should know that the user had logged the report many times before regarding the same issue.
I am turned off by Mr Chua’s rudeness, but I stand on his side for asking his right to get his streamyx working.

KUMARAN did an excellent job handling the case as far as i can open the file which is about 50% only .. cant blame CHUA for blowing his top though .. i am sure lots of us have had bad experience with TM in thier service … but i think this is the 1st time i have actually heard someone blowing his top this hard .. hahahahaa

That’s why i beliv that TmNet shoud hire well trained ppl for the cust service dept. They should be well prepared and fully aware of all options, be it rebate issue, technical issue or even about customer rights.
And honestly, putting Mr Chua’s attitude aside, it was the technician’s faults for not being able to probe the problem faced by Mr Chua in the first place. I dare to say that out all of streamyx users, there are still a handfull of them who are really ‘newbies’, and practically know nothing abt internet setting!! As the only major internet provider, trusted by the government, TMNet should be well aware of this, and should be doing their best to assist these people!
I wonder why the technician failed to assist Mr Chua if it was the modem setting issue … are they dumb? or .. taking easy way out –> equipment faulty? And please la .. i believe not so many of us here could keep our calmness if we were in Mr Chua shoes.
The streamyx service is really really bad! and i bet all of you who has been using broadband service in other countries knew it very well. Yes, Malaysia is just a developing country … but bear in mind that TMNet has been monopolized the broadband internet services for ages! We’re expecting good services frm them!

who got full version ? plz send to my mail box. Modem problem ? just teach the customer , will the modem was connect with the pc with rigthly , and install the modem , then open the new connection in my connection. Make sure the the modem connect with modem and effect . Make the the ligth and ACT, PWR and LAN , have a light , and then try to connect to streamyx . after that make the call to streamyx help line , talk with the tecnition. talk to customer service for what ? they all stupid , i think what is p2p also dunno. what the mean of double check ?just ask the customer what is the troblem with his pc and modem lah ,after that , just tell customer the rigth comment , or make a date with customer, call the tecniction go customer ’s home to check the problem. This is what we call the customer service .
How can tell customer buy a new modem to try ,is his modem spoil , who pay for that modem ?

Most of you said Mr.Chua is rude, bad or what. But if you ever came to problem like him, would you still be so kind n polite to streamyx?
I get pissed off too by streamyx. But i didn’t shout at them la.(Talk more to them also waste my time, I rather talk to the walls myself then pigs >( ) But anyway, i think the customer service are paid to get all these kind of react from customer. even if its mean insulting them. Every time talking to them is like talking to a answering machine, then its like for XXX, press 1, for XXX, press 2 so on.They get paid just to read a paper of lines or what? Cant they give us more “creative” answer? Read more books and get more knowledge if you wanted to be treated nicely “a bit” by others. This is how the world works!
And for god sake would streamyx please stop promoting his lousy service? Why don’t he spent the money upgrading his service? Why does he have to monopoly the thing like proton did? Who would buy a proton if there is no tax for foreign cars?

This Chua guy is an idiot no doubt. Im listening to the audio as i speak. In my line of customer service, there are plenty of idiots like this Chua. CS execs are hired to take shit like this, so in my experience, its not surprising and Kumaran shouldnt take it personally, if he did.
This Kumaran should file a complaint to his supervisor. However, one mistake by Kumaran, he should never ever be on the offensive like saying “please control your temper” and “dont shout”. It is the biggest no-no in the field of CS. Its a customer’s every right to get angry and shout, but of course less the vulgularities and racism. I totally understand the position Kumar was put in. I used to work for a local gaming company whose product was next to horse manure. Gamers from all over the world would call up and swear and curse. The most common cliche “your case has been escalated to the technical department”, was used all the time. ROFL..
In this case, both sides are wrong. Whats worst is the biggest fault lies in the company itself. Oh well, what do we do when TMnut has the advantage of a monolpoly? Nothing. Write in and complain as much as u can, but dont expect much. Like one malay dude up here said, the govt doesnt owe it to us to have the luxury of Broadband. U may take it or leave it. In the meantime, we can only hope that someone will come in and sweep these TMnuts off their high horses.

I used to work in streamyx for sometime as a IT agent or rather “operator” form how we are labelled here in this blog.
I just wanted you guys to know why streamyx customer service is vague
1) We have limited resources–> Meaning we don know who the telecom technician who goes to customers house to fix the problem
2) We don have comprehensive tool to check on what the technician does
3) Even if the telecom guy updates what he has done the comment will be so short and we wont know what they did–> “port tukar..testing OK”"WTF
4) We were paid miserabelly low–> Less that 1400 (Graduates gets this much)
5) So what happens is we with degree keep applying and move to larger companies and Streamyx keeps hiring new people (more problem )
6) We have 19 guidelines to follow and only then we can get our full perfomance allowance
the guidelines are like
–> Opening (welcome to tm net blah balh blah –> This is dumb really dumb WELCOME TO TM NET … What kind of opening is that)
–> Closing
–> Rapport (We must say ur name at least 3 times, thats why if u call streamyx we will say ur name Mr.XXX again again and again like dumb people )Its fucking annoying even for the operator

If TM NET wants to improve they must outsorce their services to a GOOD company and not stupid VADS (Low quality company) chepoos

TM Net quite frankly deserve meeting people like this. I had issues with some of the bs I got from them both hotline and their local tech, I remember one time their local technician called me after I reported a problem with streamyx to hotline and the tech told me I had line problem, microfilter problem, too many phones problem etc. He can’t even make up his mind, he said I had all those problems, no need for the inept lazy tech to come over to check what is the actual issue just say I got all those problems.
They need to raise the standard of both their tech and hotline staffs.

just a thought, why does Mr. Chua’s modem don’t configured, the technician always configured the modem first and make sure the modem works fine and they’ll call TM if you are successfully connected and in my case they did, so how come his aren’t? even streamyx in a box also been configured first before they send it to you and then you sms them to activate, if they turned out to be faulty, just send it back to be replaced… so I wonder how long does Mr. Chua use the streamyx before he makes the 4x complain?
I guess we’ll never know…

i dont how the TMNET works, but the tech should bring their TMNET Proven modem and test with Mr.Chua house line. If the tech modem working fine , he should tell/advise Mr.Chua something wrong with Mr.Chua modem either setting/hardware. As i mention before i dont know how the TMNET Tech (contr.) works. For my comp. i’ll not do any config for customer modem if they purchased from other party. As Mr.Chua, he should bring the modem back to the shop to where it purchased test it there or ask the seller to come to his house.
But why Mr.Chua purchased another modem, why not just claim for warranty, i dont think his modem already a year, if yes, it’s mean Mr.Chua cant used his Streamyx about a year until the modem warranty expired.

2) Think twice before making a false statement (streamyx technical men)
3) TMnet, provide us with better broadband service, better access to foreign data center, and better technical support.
please grow a brain boy, read and understand my statement before, filed a complaint for the 4th times means that his modem were working properly before, fool… so at some point between he using the services the modem got screwed by anybody in the house while maybe when he or his children try to meddle with it… and each time have you think the same person filed the reports? people makes errors and systems crashed all the times, have you even think that possibility? and also, it’s just so impossible that a technician will leave your home on the first time of installation. he can’t leave if the installation isn’t successful, or he’ll never get the RM50 for installation fees… I bought my own modem, I don’t know how to configured it before and the tech guy configure it for me, even with the basic configurations the modems works fine, so he gets the RM50 even it is bull to pay for just a simple configurations and it was almost 3 years ago, nowadays you have to pay RM88, [what a load of crap] better subscribe to a in-a-box one… and if he just go to kedai telekom, it is sooner to get it fixed, don’t have to shout, don’t have to yell, just have to get a number and queue-up…
hey boy, at least I pay taxes, bills, vote and established my life on my own two feet, so I can talk whenever I want, whatever I want as long that it is not insulting or hurting others, RACIST are not included… think about it when you reach the age of maturity…

I think it was a 1mb basic RM88/99 package… if you add and sum the all the fees including 1st and 2nd month bills you got RM 339 without modem and RM361 with the modem… either way Mr. Chua is so angry so he said RM300 assumed by the decimal points…

I really wonder why no one is supporting stupid braveheart on this matter. He’s actually making a lot of sense, but no one here seems to acknowledge it, but instead resort to personal attacks against him and poor Mr. Chua. I am not supporting Mr. Chua in this matter, but like stupid braveheart said, I can understand why he completely lost his temper. He paid a lot of money, cannot terminate his contract, called repeatedly and little was done to help Mr. Chua.
I don’t support the racist remarks Mr. Chua made, but people commenting here are exhibiting the same type of racism. One of the comments was that Mr. Chua wasn’t speaking in BM. And also why he wasn’t speaking in Chinese. (There is no god damn TM net tech support in Mandarin, as brilliant as your comment may have been tak kisah)
Another good point brought up by stupid braveheart was customer rights in Malaysia. Mr. Chua was paying but receiving no service and was neither properly compensated nor received proper tech support.
And the RM300 was the cost of the new modem Mr. Chua bought because the technician hinted that his modem may be faulty. And he wants compensation for it. Have you guys been listening to the file at all?

Streamyx people don’t know anything from start and they read from Conversations Charts to talk to cusotmers which is sooo damn wrong. they don’t know any technical stuff.

Im too facing too many problem with streamyx and there are much unsolved problem as the customer care people are not qualified to be there. The thing that I notice is that Streamy is thinking that their careline is only to listen to customers but not to resolve the issue.

Had Mr Chua used more proper words in his scoldings, I would’ve definitely take my side on Mr Chua. But since he used nasty words, not to mention racist), so Im not taking any sides.. because TMNet’s support people should also ensure customers problem are addressed soon while the customer is still patient.. dont wait till the customer pisses off then action will be taken. Both sides should improve in something:
Mr Chua: Control your temper. Even if you want to scold, scold in a civilised way lah. Dont be racist.. its degrading your status and humiliating your own race.
TMnet support: What’s with all the ‘passing reports around between levels 1, 2, bla bla’.. Just go and fix the problem la. There’s no need to confirm this.. confirm that with other departments. Troubleshooting is not a time consuming thing. Postponing customer’s problem will only make matter worse.

Well ZeMMs,FYI,the process is like that for most tech helpdesk.phone tech support is just the frontend doing basic troubleshooting n stuff.if the prob cnt be solved by configuring/justifying the cust end then the case gets escalated to the 2nd level which is the backend support,in other words guys/techs who actually reside with the servers and equipments and does all the physical checks/tests.
but nonetheless,mistake has been worsened by telling the cust that it will take 1-2 working days due to escalation.this is a repeated case and should be handled immediately n tactfully.im sure that the supervisor could’ve made some exceptions/arrangement with the 2nd level on attending to the cust issue or at least have that guideline in hand

This situation is because of TM NET itself. Belive me those working in Streamyx customer service are quite good it thier own ways.They are all at least fresh grads or diploma holders with experience.
The problem is with TM NET hiring incompetent workers as technicians. I worked there for sometime and thats the problem. The Telecom technician does not know what and how a modem works but he knows how to assemble it. Anything more than that just replace the new modem (This has no effect on customers who have free modem subscription but for those with the minimum package they are affected)
This work done by technicians is then updated by these technicians in their own words to our system which we go through hell figuring out what they did.
If you notice those whom are affected with TM NET service are mostly those with the RM44 to 66 package. The 88 an 99 package has minimal issues.
Anyways this process was one year ago and maybe things have changed, if not then streamyx will rot from bad to worse.

pls do not scold mr chua, i do not think he is being racist, had the technician been a chineseman dun u guys think that he would have been as pissed also? problem lies with e servicing party who neglected his countless complaints n unduly handling by the two operator/supervisor. nevertheless, he could have made it more polite by dropping the bad words. He yelled coz he lost his patience, doesn’t mean only idiots would yell upon losing patience.
e sup could have done a better job if he had truly tried to understd e scenario in stead of taking it for granted with “ok, ok , hmm” plus coming out with his own assumption of how well the tech had tackled e problem. Thus he deserves no credit at all, unless u tell me that u actually buy his comment on “buying a new modem is not a waste of $$ but juz to double confirm it’s not a hardware problem”. No big deal for his being patient n do not retalliate on customer coz that is required from him as a cust svs personnel.

About your comment on degree holders in Streamyx.. Yes its true ..You can find many degree holders and experienced diploma holders there. Of course because they need many agents so they do hire some spm and stpm leavers BUT preferebally fresh grads.
Those with real talent take the job and apply elsewhere until they find better jobs. Like what some of us did and many of us now are working at reputable MNC companies now.
FYI .. Configuring a modem for one user is not a big deal for us at streamyx..Its very very easy BUT when we are on call there we are NOT allowed to touch users modem or router. Seriuosly those working at streamyx are capable of higher level troubleshooting and programming.
The service level is bad there not because of the operators. Its bad because the targets that are set for the agents are on soft skills rather than technical skills.
If the service is really bad then I think we should provide constructive feedback to someone who can action on this issue. Anyone here knows any influential person who can higlight this issue to the media.
Lets make this loud and let everyone hear the issue with streamyx. As we speak I have tried contacting someone in STAR Publications but have not heard from them. If you guys are able to do that please go ahead and higlight this.

I would like to remind streamyx customer we r ISP only. We r not doing any free pc maintennence or modem configuration. Our part is to ensure connection from our server to modem is fine. Customer seem to think that we have to fix any kind of problem eventhough it’s their pc or router. In this case we found out Mr Chua DSL was blinking bcoz he did not configure his router correctly. Most streamyx customer, i’m sorry to say r stupid. When they call in they expect us to send technician to solve problem which is not caused by our side. Their most clever excuse is they did not touch or change anything when we ask them to check on certain things.

I can emphatize with Mr Chua, though I do not condone his actions and I also commend Kumaran for keeping cool, but that is his job as a CS employee. The bigger problem is Telekom Malaysia’s monopoly of broadband.Where there is monopoly, there’s complacency.I really hope they invest their profits properly when they still have the monopoly.I am counting the days when the inevitable happens…other players come into (or force their way in)the picture or the advent better technology rendering TM unable to maintain its stranglehold.When that happens, I’ll have a ‘kenduri’ as my prayers have been answered.

I understand u guys r fighting over the racist issue of Mr. Chua. Guyz let me tell you this, I myself was a Streamyx Senior Cust/ Tech Support guy. At the time of this call was received I was still employed there now no more.

Now coming to the point, the call you guyz heard over here is not a complete call. Only a little bit.
As a person whom been always sought after when facing difficult customer, I was refered to the call as soon as I came back from my long leave. But by then the call was already distributed freely among the staffs. Well it was the 1st call to be dealt that way. Honestly I dunno how it happen, even if a manager needs to hear a conv he needs to fill up a request form and had to adhere to a lot of procedures.
As I said, I was always sought after for calls from difficult customer and I love to handle these kind of ppl. My rate for Mr. Chua in scale of difficulity 1 to 10 is only 6 or 7. You shud handle a few others like Dr. Klatz or Mr. Bong or There is the other asshole I cant recall how to spell his name.
Coming back to the case, it was simple yet every1 did not notice the points. Let me explain.
1st - stupid CS Rep. WTH did she inform Mr. Chua that his account has no problem? That was not his problem did he claim it to be - NO!. Y is she so stupid to ask him WHATS UR PROBLEM. This is y I always scold these kind of CSR when they call me for help. IDIOTS WHERE DO U HIDE UR BRAIN? IN UR ASS?
I know she is new and have no previous experience and the training sucks and thats what the management wants, but can she use her common sense? Does she needs training for that too?
2nd - Kumaran, The most empathized and saluted person in this BLOG, GUD. Man u suck too. This is not the way to handle difficult cust. U know that too right. U r a team leader for GOD sake. U r a very senior staff here, how could you handle a call like this so badly.
When I first hear this call, even before the conclusion I already know where the problem was. HOW COULD U MISS IT? The Asshole alrerady told u a very gud point, TECHNICIAN CAME AND TRIED WITH HIS MODEM AND INFORMED CUST’s MODEM IS FAULTY. U supposed to stop him and ASK! When the technician tried with his modem could he make the connection YES! or NO! If he said Yes, There is ur answer then how could he blame on the connection problem, if he said no, then y he did ask the technician there and then y did the technician said the modem is faulty. Simple right?
Y did u need to to prolong the call and how could you keep your voice so low. IT IS WRONG. I dont care everyone here praising you are patience but u and me know that is the main reason he kept his voice high b’coz he knows and felt he is in control thus giving you instructions. IT IS WORST WAY OF WRONG! Never loose control over the conversation.
The worse part how could you ask the customer to control his temper? You shud asked his to reduce his voice not his temper, Thats his problem if he wants a heart attack. WTH did u laughed? Its so obvious. U juz wanna aggrevate the situation? do it like I do but make sure u can handle it first.
Last but not least, Our superman Mr. Chua, Everything is already spoken about u. What was in your mouth when the technician came to ur house? U were there I know it. U saw the technician checked everything using his modem and his laptop. He did said ur modem faulty and u agreed to it. So when u bought a new modem if u dunno know how to configure it dont tell me u r so stupid u dunno who to call also? WTF u call the helpdesk again refering to the same report number after the technician came and attended to ur report? U did tried to pretend like nobody came right? SO u can blame these ppl for your stupidity.
Hoping some stupid person will come over to help u out? End of the day u tried to patronize the supervisor by saying these people has nothing to do with the problem and I dont want to shout at them, Then WTF u shouted earlier for? U think Kumaran sabotage ur connection is it? So u can shout at him?
He is just like the rest has nothing to do with ur Streamyx problem.
1 More thing, Y did u use the “Stupid Indian” word dont u realise that the person who was stupid was urself? At least do u NOW? U sound so much like a highly literated man But being highly literated does not mean u have to be very higly educated right so now did u learn your lesson?
U didnt even bothered to say sorry the next day when the Seniors Support called up.
Guyz do u know the next day when someone call him up and asked how was his connection noticing that he is connected, all he could blurt out was, “ah! ok! My friend configured the modem already” and disconnected the call.

streamyx user u r right if the problem is on the Streamyx side they shud send some1 ASAP but for ur info out of 10 calls only 1 call actually has a problem with the connection, hte rest will be like DSL stable cannot connect - reason - Dialer, modem/router/NIC issue. Some claim cannot connect but actually they are connected, either the connection hang or too slow they feel like its not connected at all (this usually happens when they r connected to too many connections like splitter parallel lines or too many pc).There are a lot of reasons for disconnections.
If problem in Streamyx then its fine but most of the time they insist for a technician and start shouting for something which is not. Like the last difficult call I received from 1 of the 2nd level staff. Already 2nd level (Meaning Senior CSR) but still cant handle simple calls. Customer’s phone line is rusted beyond repair, Technician from Streamyx technician went over twice already asked cust to replace them but he refused saying the technician is stupid. FYI Streamyx is juz an ISP providing Internet Service nothing to do with the phone line but it uses the phone line to transfer its signal. So when the line is rusted he shud be calling the 100 to rectify his problem. ITS FREE as long as the line is faulty they have to. Y call here? Somemore try to be difficult. Telling me I dont care its TM Net or Streamyx, its still TM Net group of companies so I shud help him. For those who think the same let me tell u this. THis is exactly what I told him. Juz b’coz JPJ and JPN is under the same government, do u go to JPJ asking them to do ur IC? No right? U go 2 JPN to do ur IC and JPJ for ur licence. U cant ask the JPJ guy to help u do the IC because they r governed by the same government. Everybody got thier own job and function to do. SO stop! Dont ever say that again.

well, what i can said are
1. tmnet customer service’s operator like to put customer on hold. my previous experience is tell me, i can wait for more than 30min!
2. tmnet monopoly the communication industry, maybe our gov should issue more license to other broadband provider
3. 20% of customer taken up 80% of the total tmnet bandwidth. hahah… it’s time to upgrade ur service, save ur money from the tv n newspaper ad
4. some of the customer service’s operator are lack of network knowledge. what they doing is just follow the templete/procedure. for eg. verify account -> what’s the problem -> if got problem then reset modem, connect the modem direct to the pc and not spliter, if problem still presist then send technician, else end the call. (bloody hell, im a network engineer)
5. and last, we have no choice, cos we r living in this country. if u not happy “KELUAR DARI MALAYSIA!” said by one of our parliment member

Sorry to hear that unlucky but the real fact let me tell you as a former insider.
TM Net internal system sucks big time. The pcs are so slow that I can safely say 2 minutes on hold to get ur information must be 1 of the best days. I recall 1 time when I handled incoming calls, I receive the call, put u guyz on hold just to get the info on ur a/c, Damn the machine so slow I when 2 mix myself a cup of tea and came back but still the browser is still loading the information. If the were pcs in WW2 thats how slow it could have been.
I understand you were put on hold for so long but wat can the guy do? Its affecting his Average Call Handling TIme (AHT) too meaning his RM 300 is flying away too.
About ur no 4. CSR lack of network knowledge. NO DOUBT about that. Thats really true. I can add the lately joined lack of everything too including common sense.
But FYI thats what the mgmt wants. Do u know that. Once I recommended my friend very gud in IT and Networking to come for interview. The mgmt just pushed him away b’coz according to them he is either overqualified or not qualified. The reason was so absurd because I know how gud he is and I personally learned a lot from him. He can create dialer for Streamyx using Linux which what they claim Streamyx dont support. Bull shit they juz dunno how to do that.
The actual reason is right now they even penalise those ppl who actually go extra mile to help the user. DO YOU KNOW THAT! They dont want the CSR to help, if they do too many problems will prop up like their QA (Quality Analysis) They are questioned why they did not use the script provided. FYI thats the 1 u hear them reading for u. Even they know how to solve the problem they cant help you.
As the CEO of VADS said in his interview in TV3 a mth ago, We r contact center (emphasize on CONTACT CENTRE) not helpdesk.
So dont help just get the contact and pass the case to the technician.
So what if they monopolise the market, bumiputra company 1st priority so whatever they do close ur eyes just like MAS and PROTON soon enuf they will be asking 4 the “subsidi” from the gov.
I suggest u guys bring the problem to MCMC. Do u guyz know they met the target only once. I think that was only almost and not the actual “met” yet.

Monopoly is the main topic actually. when u monopoly something, u have nothing to lose even if u know that ur service is the worst, I cant blame the customer for being pissed off by the delay of the restoration time. 2 working days….. my ass. and for all u know actually it is not the helpdesk’s fault that the restoration process delayed. I sometimes while i was on my way back home from work, i saw TM van parked nearby Pelita nasi kandar at 12pm and i was wondering…. “ooo maybe this is the reason why 2 working days restoration dragged to weeks! you f***ing cunts”… and there we go receiving frustrated calls with curses from customers.
If you go for jaring, the technical support is very effective. morning u report, afternoon they will come, and if they need further investigation on problems, they will inform customer.thats the way actually, rather than let customer wait for weeks without knowing whats the problem.
Speaking of management. take away the TM management, we dont give a damn on who ever wants to be the CEO, but for ur info, this helpline u guys were calling is actually under different co. which is subbed by TM, so it would be logic for TM to be ignorant and wont bother on how/why/which customer call, TM dont do their job, another company is recieving curses and complaints, so why bother? and even so..the subbed company itself also one of the worse contact center co. ive ever known, trust me VADS BERHAD is an ass. if you like to lick asses, bad politics, do join them, they are the best at it. the more asses u lick, the higher position ull reach, it doesnt matter how good u are, if u have a big tounge, u will succeed it there, and that would make it the poor quality of services that the supervisor/management has.
MAXIS has lunched their wireless broadband and some of my friend in Klang velly has already subscribed the service, so far it has been great, transfer rates, bandwidth speed was impressive. I really hope that MAXIS will be TM’s biggest competitor, and I know TM now is starting to worry about it.

When you said “i saw TM van parked nearby Pelita nasi kandar at 12pm”, U must understand they need to eat also afterall its lunch time and they cant go into customer’s house when they are having lunch can they. Not nice.
But regarding their behaviour, Yes a lot of reports we receive daily but come to think of it, it is not entirely thier fault. They face the same kind of problem that you are facing in VADS, (TM Net group of Companies). What do you expect. When u do about 600 - 1000 reports a day, how can u expect they go to each and every location within 2 days. by the time the 2nd day it will become 1200 to 2000 reports. Do you know how many technician there are for Streamyx.
What can they do. They have to do the same juz like what u r doing. Cheat for KPI. Pretend that he already did something and close the report hoping the problem settles by itself.
Most of the time they write “Premise Inaccesible” or they will reset the port even when the modem is faulty.
Can u blame them? I dont think its fair. Blame the management, especially the 1 which make the reports too many - VADS. What they do is only an after effect.
Try to be fair when u do make comments not only here, anywhere anytime. Try to imagine you are in their shoes first, then you’ll understand.

Money is not everything, a good service make’s a happy customer, but thing’s can go awefully wrong when Malaysian people think of money only, because we cant make money we malaysian’s can only rotate it. Well Fuad actually broadband is only 10% IT 90% is Telecommunication binded with some Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. I had a lot of so called IT expert customers who claimed us stupid but they have no idea what is involved and how the broadband works.
Let me tell you one of the last difficult customer I handled before I quit the job. I think its important to everyone as there are a lot of people having the same problem or at least some of it.
The customer reported twice regarding his slow connection and sometimes he cant connect at all. The technician was sent twice but problem still persisted. According to the technician, the phone line including the phone socket is rusted beyond repair. The CSR called customer to close the report but customer refused reason was he was able to make connection during the night but not in the day.
Techician explained to him about the issue but customer called him stupid and requesting for some other technician to look into the matter. he claimed himself as an IT expert b’coz he is a certified system engineer. (MCSE I guess). I spoke to him, during the conversation I found out the he is using a parallel line to connect to his modem and already have 3 extentions of phone line in the house (upstairs and downstairs) on top of it his phone line is noisy when he makes the call confirming his infrastructure is bad.

Well before I proceed let me tell those who doesnt know how the system or broadband works so you’ll find the relevence of my explaination later.
Streamyx Broadband is using phone line which is made of copper cables to send the data signals. Electricity or electical current is actually electron which jumps from 1 atom to another. These cables expands and shrinks fast in the heat and cold temperature accordingly. For the current to carry the data these atoms should be in optimum distance. Imagine a spark plug do get the idea. To far the electron would not be able to jump effectively, too close will result data leakage.
During this travels, if any part of the copper is rusted (also called as copper oxide), electron would not be able to pass thru. Copper Oxide behaves as a wall blocking the electron from passing thru. This creates frequencies which SOMETIMES can be heard as the noise over the phone. BTW, not all noises can be heard.
Further splitting the line causing the splitting of the electrical current that carries the data, therefore reducing the speed of the connection.
So guys if you find any of your connections facing the same issue, I suggest you make sure it is not caused due to these issues first.
I will try to post some of the troubleshooting methods when I have more time so you can double check yourselves first before making the call.

After I explained to him as much as I can in the layman term so he could understand, all he can say to me was, it cannot be true because he is an IT expert and he never learn anything like what I have told him. He could not believe me as he can connect at night. So I must be lying.
When I told him IT has nothing to do with this issue. All he had to do was call 100 report his phone line is rusted, he cant even hear his phone line clearly when making the call, ask them to change the cables and the phone jack everything turned to be OK.

well, in your situation crazy goonda i’m agree with your action since customer should not brag about their qualifications or anything unless it’s needed. And as a so-called it expert he should not say that he know everything in the field. And what you’ve told your post above SHOULD be learnt by any customer before they sign up fro streamyx. (i did)..There’s a lot of broadband forum in the internet, seriously.
Talking from my epxerience, the last time I talked to cs was cs for air asia (when their web system got a problem). The cs blamed me for not able to book the ticket online although the problem is their system. She assumed that it was my NOOB mistake.( I explained everything but they don’t seems to understand..) it’s quite sad..after a week, the issue was solved by themselves(problem with the database? hak3).
so far, streamyx cs is the most patience (not easily getting angry) cs in m’sia in my opinion. Afterall, we are all human, right! so respect each others.

I agree and support Mr. Chua’s action (excl the racism). I fully understand his situation because it’s really because of streamyx incompetencies and failure that has raised this type of temper from their customer. If Streamyx has been putting effort to address the issue, this will not happen and there will not be 50,000 outstanding complaints and still growing I guess…
Come-on guys. Try listening to the clip again, when you face the problem. Your whole perspective will definitely change, I can confirm 100%.

Man.. in the first place how could anyone actually verify that the modem as indeed faulty and Mr,Chua is IT challenged to patch it up? Could anyone of you?
Let’s take a very logical and mature step in this situation and analyze the data we have at hand: the audio recording. Well it seems very authentic enough. So, who the FUCK can give me a FUCKING proof that Mr. Chua lost his marbles over his router and FUCK UP the CS for nothing?

and it’s not because CS is patient. It’s because they deal with these kind of situation EVERYFUCKINGDAY! IT’S LIKE THEY’RE IMMUNE TO IT! EVOLUTION OF THE FUCKING PHONE OPERATORS! WHEN I FIRST USED STREAMYX AND COMPLAINED YEARS BACK IT ONLY TOOK THEM 3DAYS TO SEND A TECH, whom is quite polite and nice.
NOW IT’S FUCKING 3 FUCKING FUCK MONTHS! CONGESTION? OVERLOADED WITH COMPLAINTS? TM can spend 9 fucking MIL to change their logo and rebrand but cant afford to upgrade their fucking cables and infrastructure.
It’s off the books, but i’m an engineer working closely with Maxis and Celcom and i FUCKING found out that during rain and thunderstorm they had to close several splitters and servers to FUCKING AVOID THE EQ GETTING FRIED!
CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT? THEY CANT EVEN AFFORD A LIGHTNING ROD WHEN THEY CAN AFFORD TO REBRAND AND PUT IN A NEW SLOGAN “LET’S CLICK”. FUCK YOU STREAMYX
…whew, i feel much better now. Luckily I dont have the mood to call streamyx now or there’s be a Mr. Chua remake
how much your wager that TM My NUTS has a much more larger collection of pure vintage audio files that will shame this one? I bet it all date back to 5years or more.

So far based in my experience, Microsoft Malaysia has the best customer service, they provide feedback on their customer service support, you can give them a really low one if you really dissatisfy with them!
This, i think TM should implement it! Also, hire more qualify people for their job, pay a little more attention on customer relationship, rewards/rebates their customers, just like Hotlink.
IMHO, Neither customer nor TM is right in this case.., both party has flaws and mistakes.

I think he had reversed the modem line and phone line in the splitter… that would cause adsl line blinking…
in fact there is too many way that end adsl line blinking… One of them could be tmnet connection issues….
If the tech person had tried to connect using his modem, obviously is Chua’s Modem spoiled… logically will ask him to buy a new modem….report closed…. If CHua dunno how to set… and not willing to paid for other to set for him…. it is his problem all the way… TMNET does not support his home network… but they help u set up as added service… []

could have resolve this if he had send over a technician to clarify…
or… the helpdesk should at least technical savvy enough to really help….

Typical shitty customer service, I’ve been through that shit before, report 4 times,
1st report tells me problem should be solved within 1 hour, 2 hours later problem not solved,
2nd report ask them to solve the problem, tell me grandfather story,
3rd report grandfather story, put me on hold 15 minutes, dunno go drink coffee or what. fking pissed already.
4th report, argue with them, got the manager, complained to him, explain my problem.
Line connected in 5 minutes.
PS: dont bother talking to the staff or supervisor. These ppl are fking useless. The OK people, everything also OK. Nothing gets done.
Fuck customer service.

Kumaran is patient, but using a stupid reason where a TMNet customer need to purchase a new modem to test out the problem just show how POOR the TMNet worker’s knowledge and services are. What kind of this technician do when they need their customer test the problem their own and confirm back to TMNET it is not the modem problem? aren’t they at least have certain knowledge before they go out and call their own as TMNET Technician? TMNET should be at shame as their customer service supervisor also lack of the basic logic and knowledge in their own product/services.
Patient is good, but patient without a knowledge is nothing. Employ a cow as a worker, it is patient enough.
Mr Chua is surely over react. i guess he is piss off by the first operator which can’t event speak properly. Situation might be a lot better if Mr Kumaran answer his call in the first place.
some here say it is mr chua own fault where he dun even know how to setup up a modem, which i think this is not fair to him. owning a product doesn’t mean you know the in and out of the product. everyone will have their own specialization in certain area.
in simple, TMNET is the one who should be blamed. like some of the fellow say here, spend 9 million just for rebrand but never upgrade their own infrastructure & services.
Recently they still dare to come out and Adv “first and ever 4Mb Streamyx!”, when you have a closer look on the condition, which is writen in the font size of 3-4, “Base on the Best Effort!” Fuck!

Nasib baik semua customer chinese yang aku installkan streamyx semua very polite.I love to entertain them, sometimes customer yang suka porn aku akan guide diorang macam mana nak mahirkan diri dengan porn,ada customer yang selalu pergi Hong Kong atau Taiwan aku akan bagi address website yang display senarai gambar ayam kat Hong Kong dan Taiwan.
Hari tu aku ada pasang satu kat company British, masa aku datang dia sudah start fucking fucking
dalam telefon, rupa rupanya tgh fuckingkan Customer Service redtone broadband wireless.Sebab asyik problem jer.Sekali jer mat salleh tu call aku ada problem dgn modem, besok tu aku datang terus tukarkan modem baru untuk dia.Sampai skrang takde problem lagi, takde call langsung.
Nasib baik aku Installer,so aku ada access dan network utk settle problem subscriber dengan cepat.Installer hanya buat support within 2 weeks after installation.Tapi selepas 2 weeks kalau customer ada problem aku suruh call 100 jer, wasting time call TMnet CS(on modem of modem on modem off modem,last sekali server down)
bukan salah diorang pun salah the whole management of TM.
Tapi selalunya customer sanggup bayar aku daripada tunggu TM atau TMnet hepline settle kan problem diorang.Tukar port settle problem.
So siapa nak register streamyx boleh kontact aku, aku boleh check kan port dan carikan port yang baik untuk anda.Kepong, Batu, Gombak and Selayang.

actually kes mr chua ni just setting dalam modem yg berlainan iaitu setting Virtual Circuit ID sbb mr chua purchase modem yg tak mengikut kehendak line streamyx jd sebb tu bila technician pegi umah dia boleh buat connection tp bila technician blah dia dah xbleh buat connection.So dont scold this CSR buta buta because they also human like you all.Orang kenal rakyat malaysia sbg rakyat bersopan santun janganla smpai tukar jd rakyat yang takde reti pakai otak bila bercakap.Memang diakui kalo dibandingkan dengan negara lain macam singapore, dia punya quality of service is superb 1st but they are small country and all of line using fibre technologies. TM currently is upgrading line from copper line to fibre.Hope u all be patient of this matter.pasal tak puas hati dgn customer service, for information CSR ni ade jenis2 tersendiri, nasibla kalo kena CSR malas, anginla korang tp ada jugak CSR yg betul2 nak tolong customer.Taktahula adik aku ni jenis CSR type mane heheh..
