I knew how frustrated it is like when we’ve downloaded a huge size video but was not unable to play it. Another similar case you might encounter is, you were able to play it in your own computer, but your friend could not be able to play the file in their pc when you sent the file to ‘em..Most of these problems are actually caused by of codec problem regardless audio or video codecs. Searching for the codec ourselves is a time consuming task but there are several software that can give us ‘helping hands’ to solve the problem.
Firstly, using the Video Inspector, you can diagnose all your video playback problems easily. This free yet cool utility will first analyze your video and then prepare a list of video and audio codec that are required to play the video. What you have to do next is download the codec to your computer. Download link: Video Inspector.
Second alternative, I would recommend you to install K-lite Mega Codec Pack in your computer. By installing the mega codec package, you should be able to play almost any video format in your computer including some rare formats, best for computer administrators.
Third, If you opted not to install a lot of files then I suggest you to use VLC Media Player. This media player is reliable enough to play almost any format of video files as it’s updated from time to time by the developer. VLC Media Player can also play FLV video files which are usually downloaded video sharing sites such as YouTube, Meta Cafe and Google Video.

After going to tools, advanced in the internet explorer and enabling java. The youtube videos wouldn’t play until I went to http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157&sliceId=1 and downloaded the Flash player uninstaller, saving it to desktop, exiting explorer, running the uninstaller then going to Adobe and downloading the latest flash player.
That finally worked.

On many video playbacks on my computer, such as movie trailers, they play for several seconds and then stop briefly before starting again, running several seconds and stopping briefly again. How can I get continuous playback?
