Today, Samsung announced their release a new mobile phone destined for the Korean
market with the capability of 10-megapixel. The camera includes a 3X optical, 5X digital zoom lens.
It supports a LED autofocus that automatically determines distance for the perfect photo, a manual focus function, and mobile DMB satellite TV capability. An impressive package for photo and multimedia enthusiasts alike. This phone is priced at 900,000 won, or roughly US$900. Unfortunately, it is only available in Korea right now.
My two cents: It’s a buzz when they announce the release of the 10-mexapixel camera phone. Consumers first got a glimpse of the phone when it was unveiled during CeBIT in last March. This product is expected to last longer than other brand as Samsung has succesfully implemented the word of mouth marketing stratergy into this product. (For being the first 10 megapixel camera phone)
Personally, I think it is not economical for the consumer to upgrade their camera phone now since a 5 megapixel phone camera is good enough already to capture a good image of a scene.
