Transparency is one of the elements that increase the aesthical value of an art created especially in graphic designs. In software industry, the ability to have transparent Graphical User Interface is now included in almost every software specialized for Windows XP and Windows 2000.
Windows Vista which will be Microsoft primary operating system next year will offer full support of transparency to its desktop as well as the programs which mean that for every program that you run in Windows Vista you will have an option to make it translucent or not.
This is how you can make your Winamp media player translucent. Firstly download the latest Winamp 5 Free (full version). If you are using modern skin it will be very easy.
If you are not using modern skin, there’s a way to do that but it requires installation of another software called Actual Window Manager.
Now right click on Winamp’s title bar and navigate to Windows settings -> opacity. Select the opacity percentage depending on the level of translucency that you like. Voila!
