Dell will start selling AMD-based notebooks very soon, reported by Digitimes. The price will be cheaper and the first batch of 500, 000 AMD Notebook will be delivered to the market by the beginning of November.

Talking about the price, it will be sold with prices ranging from US$449-499 for a 15.4-inch model coming first. A 17-inch model will be added in the first quarter of 2007. Dell targeted low-end notebook market for these models and if the sales go well, AMD will continue supplying Dell with similiar volumes of processor, the source added.

AMD Taiwan declined to comment on the news.
