to rakisuta,
What you said is a bit over,is true that TMN*T is a big liar, even i do agree what you say about that TMN*T, i do think that, you are a bit over...

What we know that,is true that the TMN*T is capped or throttled the internet speed, and sometimes or many times is NOT STABLE,or SPEED FLOW....

The question is,you the speed you get is from what site?we can't compare only one web site,at least 3 to 5 web site, then we can get the result,it is capped, but not capped speed,is capped REGIONAL IP.

Do you have a feel that, the internet speed over asia, is fast, then gone to europe is slow?? that consider is region capped, not speed capped already, they already have a list of region or IP or DOMAIN that in thier list of speed control, not over your IP.

Have you ever try download something from your house to somewhere in cyber cafe?i mean you have a small home ftp server had setup, and you download out there somewhere in mnalaysia?in actually,as long you use the Streamyx line, the speed not much slow than we think.

IF you said,Singapore is more better, yeah is better, however is NOT on P2P download software,is only web surf are faster,i do try thier hotspot, only hotspot can beat the malaysia isp speed,BUT,BUT,p2p still not as good as you think also, they did capped P2P speed as well....

SPEED KILLS,in other words,"kill your drama movie mind",it is because, your mind always think about MOVIE,DRAMA,MUSIC...

MALAYSIA's ISP Speed not as good as we think, not even internet, many things in MALAYSIA are bad quality, what do you think? I do have a friend is a JAPANESE SONGS MANIAC,he do like original musics from overseas, cause he love high quality music...

So what do you think, wanna watch movie,go buy somewhere else la,if you keep said ISP Speed slow...
Mark my words,i'm not harming you,if you dislike my words, ask admin to delete my words....

Guys, I found a solution to the problem of Streamyx throttling our download speeds. It's a free VPN (virtual private network) program called Hotspot Shield. It basically serves to cloack your current IP address and provide a proxy in the US. You'll see your speeds increase dramatically and consistently. I've written in my blog about how to get set up with Hotspot Shield here:http://patricksoon.blogspot.com/2008/01/how-to-watch-hulu-in-canada-hack.html

i just got throttled. this sucks man, as they even capped my normal downloads to 5-15 KB/s, that's like what 10% of my 1mb connection???!!!WTF?!

and they have a neat way of concealing it;you'll only have a few seconds of your full speed, then the speed goes down significantly.this way, when you test your connection speed anytime and ANYWHERE you'll get the speed that TMnet wants you to see!.Sneaky bastards!

come on think about it,if i only want to surf,i will be better off with just dialup!what happened to those words;"you will be able to enjoy speed 100x more than dialup" ???! Big "fat" Liar.

Although streamyx already throttle p2p but we still got way to by pass it.
Firstly, check your window Half open TCP/IP connection is how many. WINXP2 default is 5 only !! I suggested modify more than 512.
Secondly, MUST enable encryption function in BT, emule or other p2p software. After we enbale it, p2p will send packets through PORT 80. Streamyx wouldn't block PORT 80.
MAke sure do this 2 settings. I live at KL,setapak. I can play BT (>70kbps),Thunder (>60kbps), Online TV, Online Game ALL at same time with 1mb !!

You think only P2P is throttled? The dark day has arrived, my friend. They are capping our normal downloads.
