For those who are having a problem to update their Windows because of illegal cd-key or other issue, this may solve your problem since you don’t have to go to Windows Update site anymore. This “portable” kind of Windows XP, 2000, 2003 update technique just need you to download the program/or update and do a few mouse clicks to ensure your Windows Windows powered operating system is in a good condition.
The software that let us to do this called AutoPatcher XP. AutoPatcher is based on the functionality of these special updates, automating their installation process. We can say that it combines the advantage of both Windows Update (presentation and description of updates and automated installation), and the special administrative updates (portability and installation without the need of an Internet connection).
Download it here (fast server, you can use download manager)
Simple definition for the types of update:
Autopatcher full: If this is the first time you want to update your operating system, download it, install the updates inside it and reboot.
Autopatcher update: Contains update for each month (lets say for this month, March). Use this after you have installed the Autopatcher full.
My two cents: If you have the availability to use Windows Update I would recommend you to use it instead since Autopatcher only covers release for the month after certain time. However, if you have just did a format to your hard disk, this tool will essentially save you hours in rebulding a system from scratch.
