By default, Microsoft did not include Google and Yahoo! search function in their latest internet browser, Internet Explorer 7. You will also cannot find other search engines from non-Microsoft competitors too such as ask.com and about.com. The only there is the Windows Live Search powered by their own Find It Fast techology.
..that’s quite sad isn’t it?
However, the good news is Microsoft won’t let us lose our productivity just by that. You can still add many search provider to your Internet Explorer 7 by using this site, including the one that you might usually use.
-
As example, click on the Google link (or other search engine)
-
Click Add Provider (you can set whether you want to set it as your default search page)
-
Now, you’re done!
It took me less than 10 seconds to set it up! If you have a website or a blog like mine, I suppose you can also create your own XML codes via applet in the Microsoft’s page that let you search through your site using IE7.
