Usually, we need to use a download accelerator to optimize our file download. It will help us to get the file faster by connecting to the file server simultenously with many connection to accelerate the response from the server. I have tried Get Right, Flashget, Internet Download Manager and Download Accelerator Plus before and I think it’s the time for me to share with you which software performs the best based on my experience.
After reformatting my computer hard disk recently, I decided to make a move from Flashget, a shareware internet download manager to the software that is claimed to be the fastest internet download accelerator/manager in the world, Internet Download Manager. While the recent version did not gave me much headache as the last one, it seems that I made a good choice and it has turn into a regular user of this software though it’s not a freeware.
There are several reasons for this. It’s guaranteed to integrate into major internet browsers automatically and we don’t have to worry about any browser’s integration incompatibility problem again. Speed is a little higher than the other download optimizer programs as it includes various internet connection tweak, which make the speed 5 times the speed of ‘normal download’, depending on the type of your internet connection of course. Out of all, it simple user interface made me choose it as the best software in its category among the others.
Latest Update:
Version 5.09 adds complete Vista support, IDM Mozilla extension to take over downloads from Mozilla based browser, MMS protocol support and the site grabber feature. This feature not only lets you download required files that are specified with filters, for example all pictures from a web site, or all audio files from a web site, but it also lets you download subsets of web sites, or complete web sites for mirroring or offline browsing. The new version also adds improved browser integration, redesigned and enhanced download engine, the unique integration into all latest browsers, improved toolbar, and a wealth of other improvements and new features.
p.s It’s 30-days trial. Did you feel any raise of download speed significantly after using the software to download file? Share your experience whether its good or bad.

IF you’re running IDM:
presS ctRL- Alt -Delete. Task Manager will open.
Click the processes tab. There will be a process called IDMan.exe
Right click it, clik Set Priority, and select Abovenormal or High.

Hi, my download speed runs @ 13 kbps
Ive tried looking everywhere on the internet on how to make it faster. I have sky 8mb broadband, and on my router it says my download speed is 128 kbps.
Why does mine only run at 13 kbps?

Hi.. ^^
So read this carefully and neatly…
To speed up uTorrent Downloads , you must configure your router means “Router Configuration”
this will increase your Torrent download speed.
On Normal Download Mode/ IDM…
First,Open your IDM click on the option button then
click on the connection and find the words “Default Max Connection Numbers” Set it to max 16 connection.
Last Step: This is good for Windows Vista Users
–> Open the Task Manager
–> Then click on the Process
–> Right-Click on The IDMexe
–> Set Priority to High or Else Realtime
–> When youre done, refresh your PC
Then Start Downloading…..

are u guys erious man… u can just get cfosspeed. that shapes ur internet traffic then u can get massive downloads. it’s a trial btw, but i hacked it
however my friend had 80k/sec, and i told him about cfosspeed, then his download speed maxed his bandwidth, so yeah… i suggest cfosspeed instead. maybe also u could combine IDM with cfosspeed. gl
