I’m sure a lot of us love to hear to music and sometimes, we want to hear a new song from bands that made their works available to the public for free. With traffic shaping is being implemented by most ISPs, downloading mp3 from P2P network is nearly impossible, so other alternative is needed.
Clickster 1.0 is a software that is going to help us to search for those free music in the internet, and even commercial mp3s (I think you know what I mean) if they are available. With over 25 million mp3 tracks (and growing) already sourced, they are confident that you are going to get the music that you really want to listen to.
I think the best part about this software is it does not use P2P connection, so the chance for user to experience slow download speed is only minor, unlike when we using P2P program such as Ares. There is no broken download link and you can choose to play a music file before you have to download it.
Let’s us check it out how it performs.
After I installing the software, I directly enter the song information that I want to insert to it and click the ‘Find’ button to start searching. I use keyword “Incubus” and as expected many results come out in less than a minute.
What to do next?
After a few moments when it’s ready, what we need to do is click the “download” icon, set the folder the file will be place and its file name. Press OK, and we’ll start downloading the music that we like. I managed to ‘get’ an mp3 with this software the time I write this post.
My two cents: What I realized when moving this software window was, the response is so slow especially when connecting to the server. I thought it was crashed but it wasn’t. Maybe the developer will optimize the codes used in the future version. Well, this matter should not spoil your whole downloading experience I suppose.
