After having both good and bad time with Dreamhost, BlogAnything.net is 
now hosted by the USA-based web hosting service with the tagline “we eat up the competition”, Host Gator. If you look at what Host Gator has to offer, there are several packages available for shared server section ranging from hatchling to semi-dedicated server. Package like Swamp is quite enticing to my taste but I opted for “baby” package which provide me with 100gb diskspace and 1 tb bandwidth per month, more expensive than the package I’ve subscribed to Dreamhost before but meets my blog requirements.
The package should be enough to my consideration since BlogAnything.net has not reached 5000 unique hits daily yet (need you guys to do the marketing by the way ;)). Moreover, the “baby” package should match my “1 year old blog”, isn’t it? I did a research few days ago after being suggested to check out the web hosting by Bat of infomalaya and found out that Hostgator is recommended by many experienced webmasters with established sites.
I have yet to see if whether it will really beat the service Dreamhost has served me or not but I have contacted the support team to help me import my large database and the response was quite fast; kudos to the support service.. speed and reliability? Don’t know yet..
Have anything to say or want to inform me the change in term of loading speed of this blog (whether it loads faster or not)? Kindly let me know by commenting so that I can make this site better.. Thank you.

vincent: Dreamhost is good but I have to find a new company since I don’t plan to use their service anymore in this second year. I suppose that they will suspend my account in next month so wanna experiment with something new..

I use hostgator as well to host my blog and they are pretty good. Of course all their servers are located in Texas at Theplanet.com’s noc. It’s where I have a dedicated server and it works great. I chose hostgator because they have been around a long time and have great uptime. They also have great and fast support, something other hosting companies can’t offer.

i have blog hosted with hostgator, and their hosting server speed is really fast & with great uptime too. love it.
