In Ubuntu hardy terminal test:

oowriter -pt pdf *.doc

In the directory of *.doc files
PDF files look ~/PDF

you can also try this one –Tweak pdf to word.
it only cost $19.95,but it performs very well.
and it also allow us to convert a lot files at the same time.
it is quite efficient.

TinyPDF (a freeware) is capable of ‘printing’ .doc file to .pdf format. It might work with your problem.

I am trying to convert a Word doc (with Tibetan and Slovenian font) to pdf, but either fonts in pdf are changed.
I tried PrimoPDF and Fast PDF .
Could you please recommend me the one that maintains the original font.

Yeah PrimoPDF is rock solid, have been using for sometime already. Now the Primo have a feature to allow you to append print out to your existing PDF.

Ehhhh no, i think that these tools aren’t helpful at all.
It only steals private information.

The question is:
Will be these files really deleted?
