Printers are quite cheap nowadays, but you might notice that the outrageous price of the cartridge remains the same. Analysis reported that company such as HP has managed to maintain their profit at high level by ink selling even though it meant they are making some lost by selling the self-promoted cheap printers.
I guess that’s just how the printer companies make profit and it can’t be avoided. Feeling ripped off for buying cheap printer and then having to buy expensive cartridge replacement, consumers are tempted to try alternative solution but as we all know not all will work flawlessly as it depends on the quality of the product itself.
To the readers who are living in UK, there is one site that might save your headache on the expensive printer cartridge. InkShop dot co dot uk (click here) hence its name provides the same quality ink cartridges but with less price, some are even up to 75% off. The only difference is the name, packaging, and the price. You will also benefit from the Free UK Delivery.
Surfing around the site for a few minutes just now, I noticed that ink cartridges, laser toner, refill kits, and photo paper are the types of the products that are available there. Photo paper section is still empty from any product though but you can find wide selections in other sections. Not satisfied with any ink cartridges or toner cartridge you buy from inkShop.co.uk? You can return it within seven days and they will give your money back. This should be quite a relieve to the smart consumers who spend their money carefully.
I wish that the same service can be provided here in Malaysia. I feel sick of the highly expensive ink cartridges that are being sold in most local printer accessories outlets that I think twice before printing any important material I found on the web.

Welcome to the club! I hope that Inkshop go global soon before some one else beats them to it. Some aggressive marketing through blogs should do the trick. After all bloggers will form the bulk of their customers any way!

oh well… ink cartridges and printer companies must find ways to create revenues for their business!

Aha! I’ve been talking about this for years ( to my mates only, of course ) and I’m happy to see someone is trying to do something about the ink prices.
I know it’s a company’s way to get a money from a customer, but it’s just painful to pay an overpriced product.

Cartridges here where I live are over $45, so we normally find them online or try to get them refilled. But both of those methods are not very reliable.

Printers, be it Inkjet or Laser are all low initial cost and high running cost things. I am glad I still have my friendly 80col DMP

Wow, $45? That sucks big time. I guess it’s better to stay away from InkJets unless you really need them.

I have an idea. Let’s forbid printers. They only do harms. For example I have one color printer Samsung and when I had to replace the ink cartridge I had to pay one third of the printer’s price which is not low, believe me. Besides, printers use paper, which is a shame. Let the trees live. I think printers should only be used for very important documents. Bet on the flash memory sticks, people!

I hate how expensive ink is in relation to the price of printers these days.

Looks good, thanks for this. Ink is really expensive, especially for photo printers, it’s a nightmare!
