Feeling lag when playing Counter Strike Source on an a non-gaming computer? A tweak called Casey’s config is essential for CSS gamers who experience that problem.

How it works: It squeezs more FPS from your game by lowering some game settings. As result, you will lose graphic quality in the game but it will become a lot smoother. Most users reported an increase in 20-30fps by applying this tweak, enough for them to play it with the performance of Condition Zero.

1) Download Casey’s config here.

2) Add it to your \cfg folder at:

C::\\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\your email address\ counter strike source\cstrike\cfg

3) And run your game

You can also alter the cfg file according to your own preferrence, by using text editor such as notepad to open, edit, and make change to the content. Via pureoverclock
