If you do a search in Google, you’d probably see dozens of information appear in the results pages offering solutions how you could download video from various video streaming sites such as metacafe.

Usually, you have to do several steps to get things done such as copying the video url, etc until you get the download window open. Save your time with free version of RealPlayer 11. The new version of the media player provides video downloading integration to your internet browsers, stable video downloading, and .flv format support for everyday video downloading convenience!

It takes only a few minutes to install, make to sure to enable Web Downloading and Recording first in your preferences later on. Change will take effect when you restart your internet browser and you will see download button on the top of the video you display.

Today I searched my own blog address in Google to view websites which have linked to it. To my surprise, from the result pages I found someone has scanned my site with McAfee SiteAdvisor for potential spyware or other potentially unwanted programs, not quite the search result I expected I’d say.

The security report stated that mine was safe from threats though there are annoyances reported which cannot be avoided when you have ads in your blog.

So out of curiousity I checked out other website scanning report, such as download.com we all visit. Oddly, there are some programs offered to be download at download.com reported to contain viruses and spyware which were detected by the site advisor. Wow! software downloads at download.com are not safe?

The similar result received by softpedia.com which claim to be free from threats for their software downloads.

A Softpedia staff replied to the matter by stating that they cannot control software developers who updated their listing by not informing them the changes of their software.

If your ISP (Internet Service Provider) implements the rule of disconnecting your internet connection after a few minutes of inactivity with assumption that you’re doing nothing within that period, ConnectBuddy will help you to stay connected all the time.

ConnectBuddy resides in the system tray and keeps you online by periodically retrieving information over your connection and making small mouse movements at an interval of your choice. It will look like you are sitting in front of your computer working and surfing the Internet.

Feel free to spend a long time to read a website article since you no more have to deal with disconnectivity. On technical aspects, ConnectBuddy’s GUI is easy to use and requires no technical knowledge or configuration. It uses Global Windows Internet setting and does everything on itself, light on system resources, and can start up automatically when you restart your computer.
